"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

YAY for potential houses.

I'm super jealous of the house-iness.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

But my office is only three blocks from Graham Crackers Comics downtown, Tom. And that's closer to Quimby's than I am right now - it'll be walking distance.

And the frontrunner has a room that's pretty much designed for a nerd hole, plus a big deck. I just have to talk them down a little bit if I can.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

If you're that close to a comic book store at work, I suppose that's OK then.

But really, they don't even mention in the listings how close they are to a comic book store. Don't they care about what's important?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Heh.

When I lived in Wicker Park I was about three or four blocks from Quimbys... but not right away. They actually moved closer to me. (They used to be on Damen, closer to Division.)

btw, do people know the independent film "Go Fish" (about Chicago/Wicker Park lesbians) has a scene shot in Quimbys (at their Damen location)?

Tom, you've missed your true calling -- you could be a Niche Market Real Estate Agent.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Love them both, brenda! Word of warning on the first one, though--the description says that the apartment is on the north side, which is fine for lowering the temperature in the summer, but (speaking from experience), you do miss the sun coming in the windows. It's not so bad for me, but my cat always loved basking in the sunbeams, and she doesn't get any of that anymore.

House number 2 would probably be a lot cheaper to heat and cool.

Both buildings have several units available (both just got gut rehabbed), so I'll keep that in mind. Actually, in both of them I'm strongly inclined towards the rear (southern) units because they have decks.

Yeah, I'm very intrigued by all the enviro stuff at #2.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Whoo, Robin! Go, Brenda!

How cool is number 2? I love seeing stuff like that happening.
