Early: So is it still her room when it's empty? Does the room, the thing, have purpose? Or do we -- what's the word? Simon: I really can't help you. Early: The plan is to take your sister. Get the reward, which is substantial. 'Imbue.' That's the word.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Oh! And on the baby songs, Blackbird was the first song I sang to Em. Yesterday was the one I sang during the middle of the night. And her newest favorites are Rainbow Connection, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Baby Mine.

I've gotten so sick of Baby Mine that I've started doing a Sid Vicious version.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, can you do this Mandalay Bay situation without staying in the hotel? Because that sounds awesome, and this time next week I'll be in Vegas.

Sadly, I don't think so. IIRC, you have to use your key to get into the pool area. As in, show it to the guys manning the desk that hand out the towels.

What is even happening?

I sang Blackbird to my kids, too. And I filked it for Chris, because he would cry like his heart was broken when he was hungry. He was the easiest baby in the world, and a pleasantly plump (but not fat) baby with big cheeks. His hunger would come over him all of a sudden, and he was hysterically pathetic, like he'd never been fed in his whole life. The filk went something like: Fat boy singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken cheeks and fill me up.
All my life, I was always waiting for a bottle or a cup.

No hotel -- an awesome house 10 minutes from the Strip. There will be 7 of us, I think, and it's a house we stayed at last year, with a pool and jacuzzi and big screen TVs and foosball and all kinds of shit.

My dad's been looking into doing that for a family vacation. Sounds awesome.

Is he using vrbo.com? That's where we found this house, and it's so much cheaper than a hotel, and that's before you take into account that you don't have to spend $10 for breakfast and whatnot.

Cool photo essay about what people all around the world eat and how much it costs.

Okay, I think that this is the photoessay about what people eat and the link above is a photoessay about what makes people eat MORE.
