Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

No hotel -- an awesome house 10 minutes from the Strip. There will be 7 of us, I think, and it's a house we stayed at last year, with a pool and jacuzzi and big screen TVs and foosball and all kinds of shit.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

My dad's been looking into doing that for a family vacation. Sounds awesome.

Is he using vrbo.com? That's where we found this house, and it's so much cheaper than a hotel, and that's before you take into account that you don't have to spend $10 for breakfast and whatnot.

Our wings are not tired.

I sing when alone, or in front of my husband and children. I tell them they have to deal with it. When the boys are misbehaving on trips DH and I sing classic rock, loud and with enthusiasm. It straightens them right out.

My mother sings all the time. When we were little it was showtunes and swing era ballads. When she is feeling playful she will jump into a tune based on any word we say.

Big news, Paris is out already. @@

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

All this talk of bad public singing is making me flash back to scenes in Caritas from ANGEL.

Oh Mandy...

Man, that was fascinating. The food, the locations, the clothes, the people's faces...

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

I sing. All the time. Everywhere. To the point of annoying people. Thankfully I went to school and learned to have pitch, so at least I sound ok.

Mom sings beautifully. She met my step-dad in the community chorus and he has a lovely voice too. Apparently I got the music gene from my father. It brings me joy to sing and I have plenty of time in the car alone, so it all works out.
