There's a river at the Mandalay Bay? How did I miss that?
Natter 52: Playing with a full deck?
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Okay. a stream with a current more than a river.
I never saw the river/stream. I feel oddly let down by that.
When I stayed there, I had a beach view. (Which coincidentally was also an airport view.) I never did get down to see it close up but I was vastly entertained by the mere idea. It's just so...VEGAS.
Nothing kills a thread like Vegas love?
Speaking of love, I've been watching the Season 1 marathon of Top Chef on Bravo. I adore Harold.
Damnit, Jim! I'm a chef, not a [insert other job here].
Hey, what's the part of the car where your feet go when you're in the passenger seat called?
Hee.
Did you watch the smackdown? Season 1 totally shows why they're better. They are just more professional and more mature than season 2. Even down to being able to squash Marcel w/o literally squashing him or attempting to shave his head. Go Harold! I love how symmetric the challenges were with the person from season 1 matched head to head with the right person from season 2. The two most likely to melt-down, the two most eccentric, the two who won, the fan favorite vs. the runner-up. And I think that season 2 was just lucky that Elia was on -- otherwise they would have lost every single course. And speaking of hair (from upthread): what about Elia's?

The floor?
sumi, the special hasn't aired yet! I'm only up to the S1 Napa episodes. What strikes me about him is that he is both an endearingly cranky bastard and a really low key, stand up guy. Plus? He seems to give awesome hugs.

All I got is "legroom." That's probably not what you were looking for though.

Well, or footwell?
