Footie pjs are a pain in the ass, though. I try not to dress either of them in the footie ones because they have a pulse oximeter on one foot and get blood gases drawn from the other.

Frankly, I am in my pjs all day when I'm at home.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Kat, you crack me up.

As they get bigger you might want to put them into some of those display outfits, though frankly there's something to be said about long sleeved footie pajamas all day.

When Lillian was little, she lived in plain white Onesies and occasionally jeans when I wanted to tell people her drag king name was Liam.

Footie PJs didn't enter into things much until it got cooler. They're too much of a pain for diaper changes, and I'm lazy.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Cooler is one of our default settings in SF. Though I expect it's similar to Seattle. But JZ and Matilda spend a fair amount of time waiting for public transit, hence outside.

And K earwormed me with "The Wheels on the Bus" which is making me contemplate putting my head in the oven.

Oh man, you guys are in for it. Whether the Wiggles exist when you have toddlers or not. Nothing is as funny as my bad-ass brother humming preschool themes and then grimacing when he catches himself.

wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round

Damnit, K.

I think newborn pjs are so that parents can differentiate day from night.

Hampden is throwing down again this weekend. I think I shall seek out sushi and HON babystuff.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Argh! My early bedtime was going so well, but I could not resist the Top Chef! Oh, good times. I still wish Lee Anne could be their Tim Gunn.

The other thing that has been cracking me up today is the thought of Noah and his occupational therapist. I mean, for a preemie who weighs 5 lbs, what job is he really receiving therapy for? (Yes, I know. that's NOT what occupational therapy is about).

Is it hampdenfest this weekend, sara?

I was singing to Noah today and K was all, "what are you singing?"

me: "Silent Night."
K:"why?"
me:"It's one of the few non-Ani DiFranco songs I know the words to."'

That's when she earwormed me. Damn her.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Full-time work or work full time.

That's what logic tells me, but the second one just looks weird to me.

He's training to train his moms.

That's gotta be fun to describe at cocktail parties: I'm an occupational therapist for the NICU babies....

Because books.

When I ran out of children's songs when the kids were babies, I used to sing the themes to the Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island and Cheers.
