I'm not sure I could do a company that required skirt and hose. If they allowed pants, maybe. But I have a feeling if they were really super strict about their dress code, I might not wanna work there for other reasons too.
A burqa for work would be great, just throw it on every day and no one knows or cares what you're wearing underneath! As long as I could wear jeans everywhere else...
(My current office is business casual, but we definitely have people who are more casual adn people who are more business. We're not supposed to wear jeans on Fridays, but people do)
I am supposed to dress up more when I'm at a client site (even if they're in scrubs), but usually that just means not the more schlubby "I need to do laundry" outfits that I only occasionally wear to work. I am wearing a dress today, and heels...but could use hose or tights, it's FREEEEZING!

I'd be reluctant to work at a job where I had to wear a tie every day. Fortunately, that's not required in most law offices in SF (at least for staff).

No dress code in my world although I do wish the women who insist on strappy tanks and low rise jeans would at least wear a size that fits (instead of 2 sizes too small). For previews I tend to stick to slacks in case I need to climb a ladder before the house opens.
I guess I am required to wear a hardhat on occasion.
