Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Out of all of the full-length dresses in Apple on that site, I'd choose this one: [link]

It's the most generally flattering, and it comes with a wrap for those who are self-conscious about their arms.

I'm also a fan of letting the women choose what they want, as long as it's in the right color.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Spaghetti straps can be tough for some, though.

As long as you've picked a very specific color (Apple rather than "red"), I think letting people pick their own can be really interesting visually.

ETA: does separates mean no dresses, just two pieces? And what time of day is the wedding?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

The other direction we're thinking about going is David's seperates and telling the girls, "Choose whatever, just choose Apple."

We did that for our friend K's wedding (the one who's due on Monday) Really cool since none of us chose the same.

ETA: I would let them know about any restrictions your sister might want as far as style. Like "please no one get the corset" or "full length skirts only please"

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Hi, all! Thanks for the ~ma this morning. The interview went well (I think). Good rapport with all, and the answers I gave were ones I hope they wanted to hear. All I could do was be me and answer truthfully. Hopefully, my philosophy and skill set are what they are looking for. Next step: checking references and making a decision by next week. Continued ~ma till then would be great.

Besides the interview, I had a good day. Met some friends for late breakfast then we went to see Shrek 3. Just got home.

Oh, and it seems I'll be getting my hair cut by Ben from Shear Genius next Saturday.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I adore this dress, also: [link]

Hmm. They could get a dress, too, huh? Wedding is at 1:30, Reception at 5:00.

I made the wedding binder today and booked the hall and the church. FEAR ME! Joe says I should start my own company and call it "Empress Events: Weddings, parties, fund-raisers, and showers. Coronations extra."

Mostly lurking...

oh, that's gorgeous, Aimee.

Also, my SIL and a friend just started an event planning business. It's totally doable.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I've seen that look gorgeous. And the bridesmaids were all very happy.

What vw said, Aimee. Plus, up there you'll have the nifty little cache of having lived in LA.
