Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I'm going to call you. We've subjected our fellow Bitches to enough "Joe and Aimee Plan a Date".

I was sitting here waiting for "Joe and Aimee Consummate Their Anniversary."

Buy a fabulous place in a really cool East Bay neighborhood. Live in it for a couple of years. When you move, sell it at a painful loss to an income-challenged but thoroughly lovely family of four from San Francisco, who will try to cushion the loss by throwing in unlimited music-ripping privileges, shopping assistance at Trader Joe's, and a flying Appa action figure.

What? Personally, I think it's a great plan.

Heeeeeee.

(Also, seriously, Appa???)

PC- Intellectually, I know you're right. Emotionally, I flail about in fear.

I'm with you. Not that I'm in a position to buy real estate, having money somewhat liquid is more comforting. Maybe b/c I grew up with neither, I see the tangibility of money more than real estate. That said, I really do wish I could comfortably afford a place of my own.

Right. I see the numbers, and I know that's what I have. It's comforting.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

According to this list, the traditional fifth anniversary gift is wood.

I read that this morning and promptly fell over in convulsions of laughter.

comforting... ya... more like, I know if income fails, I can cash it in to pay rent. Eh. I guess that's comforting. Maybe I see it as more practical.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Which ruined my surprise for her in so many ways.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Ohio's a long way to go to buy a bike, you know....

Right, but oneway Southwest is cheap. They're Mr. Jane's favorite for ease of fixability, and what juliana said.

Aimee, not that you asked, but FWIW, I like your second option best. Still do the 1st time homebuyer education, though. Everytime I teach a class, afterwards I constantly hear, "I had no idea!" or worse, "I wish I'd taken this before I signed a contract." Also, don't pay someone to help you fix your credit.

If you want any of the info I have, I'm more than happy to share.

Sidebar: WTF? How do we not have an office in MI?

I am such a geek sometimes.

I was just checking the board for work software. And for whatever reason, I checked the member list sorted by number of posts, and saw I was 9th. First thought... Beatles "number nine...number nine..." 2nd thought was a 23 scenerio... I live in apt #9, I'm the #9 post... must find other nines in my life!

OK, I really gotta work now. :: looks for motivation :: anyone know where I put it?

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Heh. I can ask The Boy what price he's asking, if you'd like, and post some pictures.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I HAZ A BIKE. Yipes? I also have an extra helmet, so yes to someone riding two-up, as long as I get about a month of practice in first. So, sometime in September. Yes.
