Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Woo to the hoo, Robin! Hooray house!
Ladles and jellyspoons--we are now officially homeowners!
Fuckin' yeah!
juliana - Aims especially wants to make sure that nobody you know is affected and that, uh...that you're okay.
So. You and yours okay?
Yay Robin and Mr. Robin!
Yay, Robin!!!!!!
Travel~ma to Emily.
Has anyone heard of Ted.com ?
Yes. TED=Technololgy, Entertainment and Design. It's actually an annual conference that attracts big wigs/major players/great thinkers in his/her industry. The speakers are by invite only and, IIRC, the conference attendees are by invite only as well. Only "leading thinkers" are allowed to come, but you don't have to be famous. Their big thing is to get new, innovative ideas out to the public.
I've been watching some of their speakers for a few years now (online only of course) and the speeches are pretty darn good.
(The organizers are customers of my former employer.)
Knock 'em dead, MM. Not literally, though, because then they wouldn't actually be of any use to you.
Hello, thread. I haven't seen you in a long time. Hugs all around.
So. You and yours okay?
As far as I know. About 75% of my peeps are accounted for. I'm still trying not to flip out like a mammal, with varying degrees of success.
Thank you for asking.
Has anyone heard of Ted.com ?
TED has got some amazing stuff.
Yay Robin and DH!
So - if your boyfriend hadn't called you in 3 days, but you knew he was very tired on the first day and likely spent it all sleeping, would you still be upset? How upset?
Aw, poor Emmett.
Happy Anniversary, Kristin and Drew! So sorry you cannot celebrate together today.
Yay for the good news, and continuing ~ma for your BiL, Cash.
Hey, Susan, glad to know your new job is working out for you, and good luck with getting that cabana boy stuff done.
We've had a not-so-easy day today. Sammie started out the day by throwing up, refusing to eat, throwing up, and throwing up some more. Not to mention, that she has gone to Daniel for comfort, hanging around with him and asking for scritching about 5 times more than usual. So off to the vet we went, where she made a huge mess of herself after they took her temperature. But hey, at least they had to clean that up, including snipping crap out of her fur, plus nice fresh stool sample (which turned up negative for parasites). Aaaaaaand she got tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, also nice and negative. Most likely theory is hairballs or post-antibiotic digestive upset - so I got both hairball remedy and some lactobacilus (sp?) supplement, and instructions to feed her a bland, homemade diet for a few days. Whoops, there goes all the money I've made in overtime in the last pay check. Still, she did eat her meal tonight. And for comedy gold, you should have seen the look on her face when I smeared the hairball remedy on her.
juliana - Good to hear. You need to flip out like a mammal, you can always call Aims and I.
Robin and DH - Congrats! And my envy!
Thanks, JenP. I will try not to slaughter my interviewers as, like you said, they would no longer be able to serve my purposes being dead.
Unless I resurrected them as Cyborg Zombies, but then their signatures on the paychecks would be all sloppy and probably say "Bbbrrrrraaaaaaiiiiiiinnnnssssss".
