I happen to be very biteable, pal. I'm moist and delicious.

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Sweet hours. Shame it's too hot in Orlando to do much.

I think I'm going to see a movie tonight.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Couldn't this get LESS complicated rather than MORE? Salvation Army won't take my furniture (Goodwill wouldn't even be able to come until next week), and my plan for my nearly-new futon fell through. Maybe I just have to stay here?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Anne, much ~ma to your family. At least they know what they're fighting now.

Laura, ~ma to your sister and her in-laws.

Cash, good outcome~ma for Owen's speech therapy. Also, good that you found daycare. Also-also, tell your BiL to not have anymore car accidents, it's scary!

IOmeN, I've spent the past two days helping my daughter pack and move out of her apartment to a new place. After four hours today of lugging stuff up and down stairs in 87 degree temps, we were as done as we could be. Hot, sweaty and red in the face, I stopped at my local comic shop to get my pulls from the last couple of weeks. What should happen but that I ended up being interviewed by the local CW station for their morning show. Gah.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I am collecting a group of vids for a youtube showing at the library. I am guessing a kirk/spock vid to NIN's closer isn't what we had in mind...

My south is the south of vacations

My mom's side of the family is LA ( lower Alabama) also know as red neck Rivera - pick up trucks, hounds, beer, shrimping, snapping turtles, , basic nature love, fishing, and cake for breakfast.

Dad's side is retirement, golf, meet the right folks, long beaches , cocktails at 5, horseshoe crabs, boiled peanuts, that smell that is only in SC, the first place I actually heard people I knew use the N word, superstition, the first school for blacks, ghost stories, people who are proud of their civil war heritage .

add mosquitoes, humidity and salt and amazing food.

i'd say my feelings are mixed

brillig

I grew up 7 miles north of the Mason Dixon line. The only South I know was "West Virginia's legal drinking age is 18, Pennsylvania's is 21, for god's sake, be home before dark on Friday and Saturday night or stay away from the border road."

My Appalchian region is hypocrites in the church pews, fish fries at the Grange, deer in the backyard, strangers who hug you because "you must be Vada's grandbaby!", the WCTU (Women's Christian Temperance Union), people who were proud the'd never set foot outside the county, red dog gravel roads, the dust hanging in the air behind the car as you drove over the ridge, the darkness in the folds of the hills, the streams orange with the runoff from the mines, bodies of water that no one bothered to name except on land deeds--leaving, then going back, and realizing you miss the color of real green more than the people.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Emily I'm still available to help. I won't take your stinkin' money, but I'll be bringing Emmett and if you pay him he'll be very happy. (He'll work pretty cheap too.)

Do you want to come over to the Zmayhemi tonight?

do you have Freecycle? I got rid of a LOT of stuff that way. Also, try Craigslist "free" section.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I was just about to suggest this. I had an old sofa that no one would take (either because I have a cat or because it was on a second floor). I posted it for free on Craigslist. Gone in a few hours.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I will not flip out like a mammal.

I won't, I won't, I won't.
