Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

o god, what have I started.

ION, Just ordered Gears of War (Used). Should be here in about a week. But the last time I ordered from one of Amazon partners used, it took a week for them to get the order. Eh, it's half price, so I can't complain too much, right?

which explains why I've had less motivation to clean the apartment.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

The no answer - seems odd to me. Like they weren't serious. But I still think a thanks , but no thanks should happen. I had a friend that was looking at on line dating - she was pretty quick to cut guys off if they didn't pay attention to what she had said in her profile. and she didn't answer a lot of initial inquires - but I she didn't start a conversation and just stop unless the guy got odd ( hint: no naked pictures in your emails).

Dog is my co-pilot.

I'm so very glad that I haven't had to think about dating since 1980. Dave and I celebrated our 25th anniversary this past May.

lol. NO! I didn't send any naked pics in e-mails. really? what sites was she on? Never mind.

Yes. I do read the profiles. And base the questions/conversation on it. Seems to make sense. Not just a "hey you have a hot picture, wanna get a cup of coffee". I'm a bit crazy, I like gf with brains and can think.

Ya, the sudden cold shoulder confused me. Boy I know how to pick them. Woot!

Would suggesting a "chat" date (Yahoo, MSN, AIM) be a good intermediate step????

It's rough out there. If it makes you feel better, I'd rather be asked for coffee sooner than later. I have had several terrific exchanges on email and them met the guy and realized that there was no chemistry.

Exactly! Why waste time with someone who can write a fun e-mail, that is a zero in person. That's my thoughts. If there is no chemistry, then why keep it up?

(Good to know my logic has at least one other sympathetic thinker)

Thrive to spite them

Thank you for the not raining ma, right after I posted that it started to calm down where I was, enough that I drove home and then by the time I went to the service it had stopped. The graveside funeral was very nice, both my great aunt and uncle's sons are preachers (the Southern Baptists I often refer to) and they performed the service and it was very touching.

But my great aunt is devastated, and my grandma (the older sister) is going to go up and stay with her for a week or so to help her get through this. So if y'all could continue to send peace and healing~ ma to my great aunt I'd appreciate it.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

{{{askye}}} Much ~ma to your great aunt and your family (and you, of course).
