Very glad the Empress had a happy weekend. Yay for fun mini-F2Fs!
Also glad ND has finally made it to Orlando and is not in jail (for kilt-aided exposure or for murder).
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm finally on the shuttle to my rental car. The luggage only took 45 minutes.
Finally home, after hanging out with Lee and seeing k.d. lang and Lyle Lovett in concert (separate performances, joint tour). Pretty awesome. Sleep now.
Am verra jealous of Juliana and Lee. So glad you two had fun!
In meme news, the good thing about Claritan D is that it almost always takes care of my allergies when they act up. The bad thing is that it causes massive insomnia.
I finally gave in to the sniffles and watery eyes and took a pill around 10. Here it is, 4:15AM, and no sleep for Kristin. Sigh. At least I don't have to work tomorrow.
Oh, and sidenote to ND: The TV/electronics in the bedroom have started making a weirdly sporadic whirring sound. It's not constant--sometimes it's gone completely, and then it whirs back up again like one of those rain sticks. Actually, that's exactly what it sounds like, a gentle rain stick, if that helps to identify the problem. I can't tell which piece of electronics is the source. Might be the little center speaker below the TV, but I thought that wasn't hooked up right now. Anyway, any ideas how to make it stop, beyond unplugging everything?
Between the insomnia and the whirring, it's been a long night.

Oh lord, that is a miserable feeling indeed. I wish they could come up with a decongestant that didn't get one wired like a mofo.
In other news, with everything else that's going on, the fact that I can't find my iPod might be enough to send me over the edge.
t hugs Anne tight
All the Buffista parents need to be healthy RIGHT NOW, Universe!
Very glad Aimee had a good time in Chicago.
My goodness. To say that all of the adults and kidlets in the pics that Jilli linked to are gorgeous beyond comprehension, well, it'd be true, but also a great understatement.
Yay for good concerts! I have a Snow Patrol concert at Red Rocks tonight that I'm very much looking forward to.
iPod finding ~ma, Anne. It's the little stuff sometimes that can push us over the edge so I hope all the little stuff behaves for you today.
Poor sleep deprived Kristin. Bad sleep fairies!
Anne, keep us posted about your step-dad. I know how hard the waiting can be.

secret msg to Anne's iPod: GET FOUND! She needs the love!
Notes from Insomnia:
I have been sucked into the black hole of insomnia: the BRQG. Not only are we very pretty; we are also very funny. Here are a few that made me giggle:
1. Aimee: She's potty training. It's slow going, but we don't mind because we don't want to push it and put her off of it completely. Yesterday, Joe was in there, attending to business, but he didn't shut the door completely. Em barged in there, watched him pee, and then proclaimed, "GOOD GIRL, DADDY!"
2. RobertH: Funny sidebar: I got the title pretty close from memory just now. I wanted to check if "plrtz grlb" was right, so I typed it into Google. What did it tell me? "Did you mean: plrtz glrb." God bless the Internet.
3. billytea: I've found that I've become more mellow about not arguing with bonehead opinions. I call it my 'history will vindicate me' stance. (Chosen because it sounds more magnanimous than the 'it's like talking to styrofoam' stance.)
4. Robin: I don't like people who ascribe human feelings to their pets. And neither do my cats. My dog thinks it's fine.
Meanwhile, my cats are both taunting me. Their body language is clearly saying, "We just slept 18 hours and can still fall asleep in ten seconds right now. Neener!"
I'm so tired that I'm not tired anymore. The world is a little fuzzy around the edges. And yet, I keep hitting refresh. If the cats decide to get up, I know I'm in trouble.
