Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm watching Garrison Keiller on Book TV. I love listening to him.

I am too!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

It's been less than half a day, and already I misses my Empress ever so much.

Chicago was a blast, even though I had bad news from home hanging over my head.

More later, when I'm recovered from a flight that was twice as long and twice as warm (busted A.C., only partially repaired) than it should have been.

Our wings are not tired.

The boys are mocking Garrison's voice. I think he should have bedtime stories on tape for me to listen to. Such a pleasant delivery.

I love his voice. It's so soothing. Bedtime stories in that voice would be good.

I love this bit that he just said, "And we learn vocabulary we don't know how to pronounce, so we embarass ourselves." It reminds me a lot of my early years of reading.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Man in Jail After Sex Romp in Kilt

Sometimes the headlines say something unexpected.

Sometimes not.

Although there might be a(nother) song in this.

I laughed out loud at that one too. What a treat to find him while channel surfing.

eta: he certainly is having a bad hair day.

The thing that bugs me about that story is that he's facing charges but the woman he was having sex with has had no charges filed against her yet.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I don't know - the cops were after him based on the exposure complaints. I'm not sure the sex in the backyard was more than incidental to the charges against him.

Thrive to spite them

I figured out something to wear to the funeral, which I'll also wear to work. It's a bit dressy for work and it's sleeveless so I improvised something to wear over my arms (because I was worried sleeveless would seem inappropriate to some of the older people). I'lll be extremely over dressed for work, but oh well.
