Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

I figured out something to wear to the funeral, which I'll also wear to work. It's a bit dressy for work and it's sleeveless so I improvised something to wear over my arms (because I was worried sleeveless would seem inappropriate to some of the older people). I'lll be extremely over dressed for work, but oh well.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I propose Formal Mondays, the opposite of Casual Fridays. If other people can wear what looks like pajamas at my workplace on Fridays, I ought to be able to walk in on a Monday wearing a gown and tiara.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Huh. I'm looking over the questionaire for a Jewish dating site. One of the questions for women asks "Can you marry a Cohen?" (A Cohen is a priest -- descended from the Temple priests. Pretty strong overlap with people with the last name Cohen/Cohn/Kohn/etc., but not always.) The requirements for being able to marry a Cohen are that both of your parents were Jewish at the time that you were born, that you've never been divorced, and that you've never had sex with a non-Jew. That's a rather more personal question than I'm used to seeing from online dating services.

Well, at least they're thorough, Hil.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

That is indeed disturbingly thorough.

Thanks for the kind wishes, Laura. I do hope that they get things under control quickly. All of this has been going on for more than a month, and it's starting to feel a lot longer than that.

It must be so frustrating, as well as uncomfortable, for him. Of course he would have picked up the staph from being in the hospital. My son has a staph infection when he was about a month old. It was really scary.
