Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I was on LJ once upon a time, but honestly I would have a hard time posting on it regularly enough. If I did go back, I'd wait until this stuff blows over to see where my people ended up. I neither write nor read fic, but if my people who do don't feel comfortable there and migrate somewhere else, what would be the point? I just cannot believe how f'ed up the whole thing got. I finally finished the 19th page of comments.

I don't know if this makes anyone else's night better, but I finally finished draping and pinning the Jessica Rabbit dress for my Halloween costume. I still need a couple of strips of boning and another clear strap, but then I think I'm ready to cut and sew. It's been really interesting, constructionwise, to see how close to the original I can get it. In the movie the dress is basically a backless busitier attatched to a skirt that's a little low slung in the back. For the top front, I used two moulded bra cups strapped halter style around the neck and across the back bra style with clear straps. Boning will be sewn down the two sides and then a third clear strap will connect across the lower back. At the top of the back, I'll sew in some elastic to keep it from gaping away from my ass. It really looks pretty accurate. I'll see if I can't snap some pictures later this week.

Dallas only implies seeing my ex. Which, while a spectacularly bad idea, is not technically illegal.

I will keep the ex away! Plus, I know where to find a lot of cute not-ex boys!

Well not if we all remember our safe words.

In a bar! That's never going to work.

Your dress sounds fantastic! I can't wait to see it.

Sure it will! We'll be so surrounded by the menfolk he won't be able to see you. It's better than camouflage. It's manouflage!

Okay, valid point. Bars are just where drinking happens and drinking can lead to Bad Life Choices. Or making out with my ex, which is just a Not Recommended Life Choice.

That's what the other boys are for. So you can make Bad Life Choices with whole new people.

We can manage an ex-free Dallas bar. Duh. You know the owners.

And if your ex shows up well then I'll just go and...

wait...

t checks list

I'll ask him nicely to leave.

Story of my life... Which is mostly fun, actually.
