I just made an appointment for TODAY to get my hair cut. I'm terrified! I haven't had short hair since I was 15! Someone comfort me.

And to add to my self-confidence, I have developed a zit on my forehead, which will look awesome in those hideous salon lights. sigh

Zenkitty, I have had short hair for, oh, 9 years and I love it. I won't go back to long hair. It's easy to take care of, easy and quick to style. And I think it's sassy and fun. Go short hair!

My hair is harder to manage if I go too short, but if you're ready, I say Go For It, Zenkitty. Have a shot (or two) and tell the hairdresser to get busy giving you a whole new style.

I have a butterfly! The slightly off beat birthday present dad gave me gave me another present! A bueatiful swallowtail butterfly. And I didn't get to see it emerge!

I went out and came back and looked and OH! There's a butterfly.Right now its wings are drying out and it's hanging out. And then when it's ready I'll let it go.

Sure he does, MM is coming out here for 10 days in Sept. to work on Halloween. At least he'd better be.

I was thinking shorter term. You know, like a Saturday at the comic stores of Ann Arbor followed by an evening at the movies or something. But yeah, work or not, Halloween will also probably feel like an escape.

I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of Aimee's bright, shiny new hair, btw. You Chicagoistas better take good pictures!
