~ma to the moms. (Is that ma~ma?)
In "developmental milestones I'd just as soon skip" news, our daycare center director called me into her office when I picked up Annabel today. She lashed out physically at one of the teachers when he put her in timeout for making a ruckus at naptime. Sigh.
Much ~ma for the Buffista moms!
I just went to say goodnight and goodbye to Noodle. I asked him for a hug, and he said, "Excuse me, I'm reading."
Earlier, when he finished dinner, he announced, "I'm very gross."
He has really cracked me up. I'm gonna miss that Noodle. Fortunately, I get to see him again in two weeks.
I need haircolor advice, please.
I have always gone lighter, but now I want to go darker. I don't think I can carry off black. When I have tried a true red before, it didn't do well with the yellow in my skin. What do you think of Deep Burgundy Brown? That doesn't give a great picture of it, but it is dark brown with almost metallic burgundy highlights.
If not that, any suggestions? Any localistas willing to help me? I suck at doing my own hair.
Suzi, you're half Persian. You can do dark brown.
CJ! Straighten up and fly right!
Speaking of Persia, Signet has a new translation of
A Thousand And One Nights
out available, in paperback in three volumes, from the Burton translation.
Gleaned from the forward: It probably started as a translation from Persian to Arabic,
but
the framing story indicates that it has an even older origin in India.
Also, Ali Babi and Sinbad were late additions. Not necessarily canonical.
Suzi, are you currently lightened? It will pull really bright on the lightened areas. You'll want to fill with a neutral brown before putting any red on it.
I am now I-Love-Lucy-Made-For-Technicolor RED.
Right now my color is all ME. When I went short, I chopped off all the color. Now that I'm used to the dark, I need something to make it pop.
Oooooooh Aimee. As of tonight? Pictures, pretty please.
