Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Are you on LJ, DJ?

I'm just now getting caught up. Damn.

Oh, and I'll take some of that instant wealth, please, with a side of contentment.

"I've got a gun! I've got a mother-flippin' gun!" - Moss, The IT Crowd

So, yeah, Aims is in a funk, and we are the House of Ennui. Not even in a fun gothy sense. We're both having a struggle returning to reality after Jilli's fun fun fun goth convention on the weekend.

It's like trying to wind down after F2F but without the comfort of constant chatty chat that the Buffistas do so well.

Yes, we are a little glum and taking a long look at what we need to fix to make the daily grind less demoralizing.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Funk-ennui. It's the dance craze that's sweeping the nation!

Well, it would be if we weren't in a funk and full of ennui and therefore actually dancing.

Somehow, Aims, you've never quite gotten that whole 'helper' schtick right, have you?

Spelt Flakes;

Aims, I think, however, your tagline is spot on.

Still one of Jilli's favorite movies.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

But I'm still not allowed to go to Dallas

Sort of like how I'm not allowed to go to Tijuana?!?

t makes out w/Empress

*grin* I help!!

Still one of Jilli's favorite movies.

Em's, too. Joe sings "Rain-know 'Eck-tion" to her every night.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Sort of like how I'm not allowed to go to Tijuana?!?
No.

Because going to Tijuana implies committing a felony or five.

Dallas only implies seeing my ex. Which, while a spectacularly bad idea, is not technically illegal.

*grin* I help!!
"It's Shake and Bake, and I helped!" That's a commercial that will just never leave my brain. Cute kid.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have to help fire an employee tomorrow. One who is very nice to coworkers, but hates anyone who tries to manage her. She is on her thrid manager in less than two years, and has spent several months refusing to even speak to her present manage excepot for yes and no answers. As an HR person I can't explain the reasons for the firing to anyone and there is going to be a lot of upset about it. Not looking forward to it.

Oh, Robin. No fun at all. I am so sorry you have to do that tomorrow. Booo!
