Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Which doesn't really address how I might actually, ya know...do the job.

Trust me--they're not paying attention to the details. Just to the stats. We tested all our existing employees and then used it as a part of the interview for applicants, and it was really rather good.

Dog is my co-pilot.

I was just thrown because...well, it doesn't test my actual abilities. Just my self-images...how I think others perceive me and how I perceive myself.

I've heard that some companies are using this type of screening tool to narrow the field down to applicants they believe will be a good fit with the company. They throw out lots of people and then do interviews for those who look most promising to screen for actual job-related skills.

Punishingly Intricate

Instead I got "In these four columns choose the words that you think describe how people expect you to act" and "In these four columns choose the words that you think actually describe you" and that was it.

See, I'd get all caught up in "which people"??? Because I think people who've just met me would expect me to act one way but people who really know me expect me to act another way (and I think people who really know me have realistic expectations of how I'll act. I'm consistent if nothing else.)

Trust my rage

Can I whine here for just a moment?

I'm so tired of eating so much. It is f@#king work! Moslty I've been feeling okay the last week or two, but the second i get hungry, I feel awful. And I'm so tired of eating raisins, yogurt, granola, cheese, fruit and healthy stuff. All I want to eat is M&Ms, Heath Bars, and Starbursts.

And I've been feeling dizzy on and off for about a week now. I sit at my desk and everything thing feels weird - sometimes things spin, other times I just feel like I"m about to, but not quite, lose my balance.

Anyway, totally nothing compared to people with, you know, actual problems, but I just want it to stop.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Hey, Bobbi, welcome!

If you want to use the handy-dandy quoting shortcut, just put ">" before the part of your post that contains a quote. That way this:
>Harry Potter likes carrots.
looks like this:

Harry Potter likes carrots.

t hugs Stephanie Whine away hon. Pregnancy is hard.

Poor you! Can you do something trail mixy to mix in the treats with the healthy? Like chocolate chips mixed with nuts? I know it's not the same but still.

And I've been feeling dizzy on and off for about a week now. I sit at my desk and everything thing feels weird - sometimes things spin, other times I just feel like I"m about to, but not quite, lose my balance.

I'm sure your thing is pregnancy-related but that sounds like how I felt right before I had my crazy vertigo last fall. yikes! Be careful!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Poor Steph! Pregnancy = HARD. Sory you're feeling vertigo-y and such. Are you not eating the sugary cause you don't want to or a medical reason? Maybe just a teensy bit every once in awhile?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Pregnancy IS hard - you're making a new person! and quality work is always harder.

Also - not it. If I should turn up pregnant, it'd be a toss-up as to who I called first - the AMA or the Vatican.
