I love Lena's story. It makes me laugh like a loon every time.

I don't like the polish I picked for my pedicure (an orangey brown that looked more dark brown in the bottle). Wax was ouchy, but that's to be expected. The woman who did it was very nice to the first timer. Any aftercare tips?

My "niece" called last night to see if I got the new Potter (I did but waiting to read until on 5 hour flight Monday). She's all into it. So cute!

I was getting ready to scold my self for not doing much so far today - when I suddenly realized I've been paying bills while on the computer and watching tv. go me.

Paperdol's gonna get a nice review, I bet. EW has reviewers that are looking to be excited about new stuff, and we seem to have taste in common. Also, I've hardly read where anything got pounded.

I have a waxing propriety question--I've found that since I came to LA I've been in a lot more conversations where women volunteer how shaved they are "Bald as a cue ball!" "Little patterns cut into it..."

It's so not something I'd volunteer in small talk--have I just met up with crazy people, had I been sheltered, is it just LA? I boggle.

Spending the day with family. Having a good day, except for the weird trip to the cemetery with my grandpa.

I hope it's quilt-o-riffic with cake.

That it will be. My grandpa “challenged” me to finish a queen-sized quilt top (that I just picked out the fabric for) by August 10. And, you know me. Tell me I can’t do something, and well, that’s just what I’m gonna spend every second working on trying to do.

I link it's just an L.A. thing. Or an L.A.ish thing. I know people here who would probably do that too, but they're also the people who want to go to Medici, Sambuca or ZaZa on a weekend and have apartments in Plano.
