Speaking of crushes, I'm halfway through Season 2 of Beauty and the Beast. I can't get over how much I love that goofy kitty.

I'm getting kitty schmoop now that I'm home. ND is at a meeting over at universal, but both cats have been in my lap and purring on and off over the last hour. I missed my kitties, too.

Unrelatedly, know what I don't like? That awful, stale smell of your house when you've been gone awhile. Ptui! I hope it doesn't smell like this normally, because I have every scented candle lit to try to tame it. Yuck. Not the litter box, either--this is something else I can't put my finger on. Might be something the new cleaning service used the first time they cleaned the place last week. Don't like it. Want my house to smell like home again.

Neither you nor ND has been home right? It's probably just that it hasn't had doors and windows opening and letting in fresh air, or even the normal smells of whatever perfumes or soaps or whatever stuff smells up the place (in a nice way) regularly.

My mother's house always smells like fresh laundry because there's almost always a load running at any given time.

Our friend (omnis on this board) was housesitting, and he's not a stinky guy, so I'm baffled. But...it will air out. I think it's probably just smelly cleaning stuff and yes, lack of my daily routine (which often includes laundry).

We're headed up to Lopez Island for a REAL vacation (as opposed to going somewhere for the weekend). I haven't been to Seattle for about 10 years, maybe more. And even then I really didn't see it, other than UW.

I'm hoping to meet up with Buffistas while I'm there, absolutely.
