france and iceland. I finally found it, looks like 90 cents.
Yes, basically anything that would be $.41 in the US is now $.90 for France.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well....ummm.... it is a little warm isn't it?
Bloody hell, Toddson, rugby-playing youth really has changed in the last twenty years...
Anyway, hopefully Jilli will swing in here and remember to tell you all the anecdote from yesterday's walk through downtown Seattle.
Jilli?
Looks like mom got her way. I'm picking her up when I leave work.

Oh, right!
So, I was wandering around downtown, and walked past the window of the bar for the RuthChris Steak house. The people sitting in the bar did kind of a double-take at me, but I continue walking. I get about 30 feet further down the sidewalk when I hear "Hey! You! Cute girl in the hat!" I turn around, and there's a blonde, tan woman in her early 40s waving at me. So I wander back up the street, and she proceeds to exclaim over how cute I am, and oh my god the outfit, and please, tell her I dress this way all the time?!
I respond with my usual answers, and she is just delighted. She says "Oh, you have to come play with us on the tour bus!"
I blink, and say something like "Tour bus? Um, it's a very nice invitation, but I have some errands I need to run and then I need to get home."
"Oh, home. Home will always be there. Come on! Tour bus!"
I explain that no, really, I have stuff I have to do. But here, here's my card! And who the heck is in town on a tour bus, anyway?
Turns out it was (supposedly) Linkin Park. About whom the only thing I could remember was that they were some sort of scream-y NuMetal band I didn't really like. (But I didn't say that.) The strange lady gave me a hug, and waved me on my way.
Of course, when I got home and told Pete, he reminded me that the reason LP would be in town is because of Project Revolution, which is the big festival MCR is also part of. If I thought that MCR might have been on that tour bus I didn't go on, I would be very upset with myself. But I'm almost positive that the MCR boys aren't in town yet.
Besides, wouldn't MCR have their OWN tour bus?

nods
Yep, and it doesn't look a thing like the tour bus that was parked across the street from where I was talking to the strange lady.
Two things about interviewing today:
I gave my step-grandma a cd player walkman thingy that used to be my brother's, so it would be easier for her to listen to the recordings I've been doing. I was showing her how to use it, and she said, "Well, isn't this something! What will they think of next?"
I decided to let it go and not tell her about the iPod.
------
I actually got my grandpa to sit down and talk about his childhood while I recorded. For seven whole minutes!
Uh oh, Jilli, when is this Project Revolution festival? This weekend perhaps? And is it going to be downtown near the Seattle Center?
erp.
I think I better change my hotel reservations to some other neighborhood if I don't want to stuck in hideous traffic, shouldn't I?
eek. ::runs to check out Project Revolution site::
Wah! I can't see the rugby vidoe! The website says it's loading but it won't load.
