You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

There's no deadline to do what you want to do.

Oh, I know. When I was younger I may have believed that but not now. And I feel sorry for people who don't go after what they want because they think they are "too old" or something.

I'm sorry Emmett's team lost but it sounds like he's having fun anyway.

I'm so ready for bed. It's only 5:22 p.m. I don't really want to be up at 3 a.m., so I need to wait, but damn am I tired.

I'm sitting at LAX waiting for my flight to board.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Let's see, askye. That means you'll have a master's degree when you're... my age.

looks around for the problem

Go for it, girl! This is the only life you'll be askye in!

Don't let age stop you. I'm in library school now (I'll be 38 when I'm done) and there are many students in their 40s. It's never too late for school IMO.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

askye, your response was perfect. Assuming the little ninny actually remembers the conversation, in a few years s/he'll look back and wince.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Do you know how many librarians start school in there 40's - with a 20 year plan to retirement - that puts you right in range. and since there are so many librarians that you have to drag out kicking and screaming- I think we really like our work. ( says one who is 44 and still hasn't done jack about a masters)
