Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I loves me some cheese fries with onions and bacon with ranch for dipping. That place in the song had some awesome cajun fries, not the curly kind, but really crisp and lightly seasoned. We used to dip them in white gravy.

Now I want fries.

And on a note of serendipity, the Globe Food section had an article about poutine today: [link]

The status is NOT quo.

I am Juliana. My inner three-year-old is demanding a nap, in fact. The pouring rain has that effect on me. I'd kind of forgotten how hypnotic it is.

Must take shower before ending up back in bed again.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

So, where was dinner? Did you have fun? Curious....

The House, which I've passed every day for 19 months and not tried. OMG SO GOOD. Ahi tuna tartare, unagi with avocado rice, asparagus with sesame dressing, and the best shrimp dumpling I've had in years. Old-school, very light dumplings. For my entree, I had Kobe beef and morels. Nomnomnomnom.

I did have fun. It was a very nice time - Martin made sure Gary and Johnny Chow joined us, too. We also went to Ace's and Amante's. People were very sweet. I drank a lot of wine. I want to go back to bed now.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, Emmett!

-ma and hugs to all who need them.

I called my friend yesterday, the one who had the premature baby to tell her that Mom and I would be around tomorrow if she wanted company. She hasn't called me back yet. I'm wondering if I should call her again tomorrow or let her be.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hooray for Emmett's touch-em-all skills!
