No, the games were out in Walnut Creek. (Big region.)
We were in the winner's bracket so had two chances to win. Last night Alameda beat us. They had a girl pitching for them - she had long blonde hair. Do you know her?

No, I'm sure it's a girl, because we played that team last year at Alameda and we talked to some locals about her.
Speaking of boys with long hair, Emmett is no longer one of them. He decided in the last month that he was over the long hair and I gave him a haircut last Friday. It's not super short - still over his ears - but not past his shoulders as it had gotten.
He looks good (of course).

It's very exciting. They're off celebrating with pizza now.
Next year when they have the parade to mark the beginning of the season, his team will be introduced individually as the District champs and all the little kids will go "Ooooooh!" and they put up the banner.
