Happy Birthday, Zenkitty!
Today I read a book and did some work from home and am now going for a bike ride.
Have a safe flight, NoiseDesign.

beth, how is Matt's boss's daughter? What an awful situation. All the best to them. I hope you feel better, too.
Laura, you sound like you're having a great time.
Happy Birthday, Zenkitty!
beth, how is Matt's boss's daughter?
not really sure. they are sending her to the children's hospital for rehabilitation. I know they were fitting her for a wheelchair, but I don't know how much damage there was. On top of all this M witnessed what happened to her sister, but is only 2. She really doesn't understand what happened and keeps asking for her big sister.
In me news, I vacuumed. and I swept the living room floor. So I feel like I am accomplishing something. and I earned a break. I still want to wash the lv room floor and then make a blueberry pie for brunch at Suzi's tomorrow.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone! I've had a good day. I bought steak for dinner and $300 worth of new clothes, which is... good, I guess. I needed them, anyway. And one shirt has floppy sleeves, so that makes me happy!
beth, so terrible about Matt's boss's little girl! I hope she can recover. God, a playground accident. I'd never have the courage to be a mom; I'd be terrified all the time.
Get home quickly, ND!

Oooooh, Yummy!!!
I'm in clean mode too - working my way up to "company clean". Ohhh, the things you find when you dig that bit further into the piles.
a playground accident. I'd never have the courage to be a mom; I'd be terrified all the time.
Years and years ago, K-Bug was in a summer program with the local Parks & Rec program. I got a call at work that she "fell off a playground structure, was bleeding from the head, and 911 had been called. Would I please meet them at the hospital". PANIC. I zoomed out of the office, drove straight to the hospital, a mere 10 minutes from work. I beat the ambulance there - which freaked me out even more. I mean, that meant she was so bad off they couldn't transport her - right?
Well, she was fine, the ambulance pulled up and she hopped out of the back, under her own power, just holding gauze to her head. Cause of the delay - the park person who came with her had stepped in dog poo and had to clean her shoe before they took off for the hospital. Three stitches later, she was fine.
That was about 10 years ago. I still remember the panic during that drive to the hospital. Much ~ma to Matt's boss's family.
The wife of a friend of mine's baby died of SIDS while in day-care. I worry enough about emergencies as a hs teacher, but little babies? NO WAY. Too scary.
I gave the Heimlich to a teeny 9th grader who was choking on a life-saver, and I thought I was gonna break her in half. I was freaked.
Happy Birthday, Zenkitty!
I've decided I hate asthma.
I'm so with you on this, beth. Not breathing sucks. I am so thankful for asthma drugs, at least.
I've been kind of lurky, lately. Much ~ma and glitter to all who need it!
Birthday Happies Zenkitty!!!
I am finally caught up in Bitches.
