Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

What other information should I include on this form?

Is this just an initial form? Are you going to put them with family stories?

Seconding Sparky. Also, honors/awards, profession.

Is this just an initial form?

Yes. This is just so I can get an idea of the "order" their lives happened and have a place to check dates, etc.

Are you going to put them with family stories?

Eventually. I'll be collecting the stories on tape, then transcribing them.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Future historians will thank you if you include county as well as city, vw. As Sparky says, I'd also include memberships in churches and major organizations such as the Masons and offices held, plus any awards or honors like "Small Businessman of the Year" or "Miss Vidalia Onion."

If you want help with that let me know. I love listening to family stories (even if it's not my family).

Oh, my. You have no idea what you just offered! The files will be digital, so I can just e-mail them to you. If you want to help, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm going to have between 30-40 hours to transcribe.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Bleargh....need coffee....

And, oddly, I feel the need for ice cream Snickers.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Mr. DJ is FTW. Totally. I have a wee crush on him now.

I won't be able to go, and I already miss everyone.

:( Aw. And I'm making shortbread, too! And maybe brownies. Possibly scones. If scones, then I will bring clotted cream.

"This is Connie Neil. If found, return to (full address and phone number). Reward."

Awwwwwwww. Yay for sweet DHseseses.

Nyargh. Everyone in the office is asking me if I'm going to Burning Man (we're a large part of the planning process/theme this year), and I keep having to explain that no, I really don't want to be stuck in the middle of the desert hours away from the Internet and anything resembling shade or water or my bed, with a bunch of eco-hippie-artist-whackaloons. Seriously, the thought of having to go starts the panic attack process. I'm so not going.

what is FTW?

Like I said the other night, L has been doing much better. She keeps getting sideswiped by the ex though. She just sent me this exchange about her dog that he still wants over sometimes. How's this for passive aggressive?

L:Are you coming by to get Pixie?

AH: If my plans for tonight change, I will.

L: Ok, please let me know if you decide to come and get her.

AH:If it's that big of deal, don't worry about it. I'm going to dinner and going to see Harry Potter tonight. So I don't care. Just kind of missed her and she and Reagan like to play.

L:Not a big deal, I just would like to know whether or not I should expect her to be there when I get home. It's fine either way. Have fun and I hope the movie is good!

AH: It won't be the same without seeing it with you, but I am so so tired of being the only one to make an effort.

Way to act like an adult dude.
