Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Ok, now that the second shift of Couple's Posting is on, it's time for the Miracleborn's to head to bed.

MWAH to all.

Honey! C'mon!

I can't maintain the second shift, as I am on the East Coast and Drew is still out in LA-land. Alas.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I have an idea. ND throws it to erika. erika passes to connie who chucks it to Steph. Steph tosses to ChiKat who goes long to amych. amych does the hook and ladder up to Vortex for a hail mary into NE.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Emily looks muy foamy.

Back from the wilds of Walnut Creek where Emmett's all-star team had a come from behind win. We've gone all the way along the winner's bracket and now have two shots to win the District Championship.

Emmett had two bits worth reporting.

When we were down 3-0 in the third, Emmett got on with a clean single through the hole between short and third. Then they had Emmett do a straight steal of second. Which we hardly ever do, but they thought the catcher wasn't in proper position to throw and we weren't doing much against their pitcher. Emmett gets down and the throw is high. He's safe.

He moves up on a passed ball and is at third. Next batter hits a hard grounder to the third baseman as Emmett breaks for home. It's not a force. Third baseman throws home, but Emmett doesn't go all the way back to third (which he could have). He purposefully gets into a pickle because he saw that the pitcher didn't come down behind the catcher to join the rundown rotation. So when the catcher throws to third, Emmett breaks for home and blows by the catcher because nobody's covering home, scoring the first run.

Their coach was so pissed he called a timeout and reamed out his team on the field. (Not cool.)

After Emmett scored the first run, we loaded the bases and scored two on a gorgeous double by Matthew.

So, tie game.

Later Emmett was catching. Now, at our fields the catcher doesn't get much opportunity to catch foul pops because the backstop fence has a big overhang. The ball goes up, bangs off the overhang and it's a dead ball.

At this field though they have no overhang.

So foul pop. Emmett stands up and throws off his mask. Turns around. Blows a bubble. Makes a basket catch for the out.

Then Emmett's friend Jack hit a massive two run home run to ice the game.

In other exciting news, I got a cool interview with the guy who shot Tom Waits album cover and the video for "In the Neighborhood."
