That's what my mythical future wedding will be like. I don't really want the whole big thing, but I do want a pretty dress and a cake. Oh, and a man. Dress+cake isn't really a wedding without a partner of the appropriate gender. Hmpf. Darn rules.
Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I've always said that getting married is fun - you dress up, have a party, drink, dance, eat cake. It's BEING married that's the hard part (says the single lady).
hmph ... now I want a man and cake and some sin!
This is the Buffista Wish List.
Except for those who want variations on the gender of the person and the yummy item.
I have no idea where to put this but I just got this email from K, and thought there might be some buffistas who would be interested. Not huge enough to put in press so...
If you're on this list its b/c I either think you are into PC games or would know someone who is (mostly the latter). Some of you may know that I started a new job on Monday. The job is going great -- I've spent the week learning about Half-Life, WoW, Grand Theft Auto, FIFA and lots of geeky gamer acronyms. The company I work for is an internet start-up (actually based in New Orleans) that runs two sites -- one devoted to 3-D graphics and animation (www.turbosquid.com) and one for game mods -- this one is new. They hired me as a project manager and my first task is to oversee the group responsible for building content on the site.
The site, www.gameflood.com, is a virtual marketplace for PC game mods. Right now all downloads are free, but eventually you will be able to buy and sell mods like they do with 3-D graphics on the main site. It also has a "myspace" aspect to it where you can set up a profile and get geeky gamer friends, etc. If anyone you know does game mods please forward this to them and tell them to check it out. We are eager for feedback and general participation. There's also a contest for best game mod -- but its by public vote and I think over next week so there's not much time left.

Sing IT.
I'm all manner of glad to be single again but oy. Missing the sin. Virtue blows.
You go stuffing them into your face and you're gonna make yourself sick, crazyhead.
Too late.
And considering that I'm allergic to dark chocolate.
In a complete contradiction of my crack about virtue...I've been freecycling like a mad thing over the last couple of days and I feel virtuous with a capital VIRT.
It's amazing what people can use.
I gave away dozens and dozens of articles about organizational development, diversity, team building, etc. from my first master's program at AU...15 years ago.
I've been shifting that 20lbs of paper (not kidding about the weight) from place to place for 15 years! I kept exactly one article...because I remember reading it within the time frame.
Phew. Nice to have that out of the place.
Plus, 45 cassette tapes.
Anybody have any luck with transfering cassette to mp3? I have some pretty obscure stuff I'd keep if I could.
Oh, and got my first cd trade from lala.com.
Efficient use of resources is my middle name!

Well, not entirely...
And considering that I'm allergic to dark chocolate.
You know I'm shaking my head at you right now, don't you?
I won't live in sin, not because I think that there's anything wrong with it, but I just want to save it for marriage.
Vortex is me. I'll do some sinning before marriage, but not the living together kind. I'm just weird that way.
