To use the voice, and in this case with dental appliances as well, to convey subtleties that the masked face isn't capable of, as well as Perlman did, is awesome.
Beverly. So, very THIS! I've always wondered if they looped very single line because of the prosthetics, but I don't think so. It seems that his innate talent, plus somebody's tech genius, made that makeup almost organic.
And, yes, the body language makes my knees weak. Helped, of course, by the knight in shining knits and leather costume.
I the exact opposite of my "Hey, Michael Dorn is too handsome for this make-up!" response to Worf not in drag, I always felt the make-up did Ron a favor. With all due respect! Even as Hellboy, he gets a chance to be super sexy without the impediment of 'hm. that Neanderthal forehead is distracting!"
Gah, Toddson.
Was the kid's name Dudley by any chance?
Toddson's anecdote reminds me that parenting is so much more responsible for producing entitled children than Mr. Rogers ever could have been.
Amen.
While the lives of celebrities generally have no impact on me what so ever, this whole Rogers-bashing thing has got me seeing red.
Back off of FRED, before I hurl this 8lbs. Benjamin Spock parenting book at your soft tissue!!
Vortex, our flight home is at 10:30am on Sunday out of BWI, so it doesn't look like we'll be able to meet up... probably for the best though, since you are MOVING! Damn!
The permissive thing - my generation (get off my lawn!) was blamed on Dr. Spock. Now it's Mr. Rogers. Next ... who knows.
ack! double post!
But - I meant to say something about the woman put a lot of effort into getting her son into a strict school. Then, the first week or so of school, decides she doesn't want him to have to follow all the rules.
Wow. Cashmere, those pictures are absolutely stunning. I am addicted to Flickr, so I saw 'em before I even checked out the Bitches thread. The one of you and Christopher should SO be framed.
And Vortex, I've used the Crest Whitestrips to very good effect. In fact, two applications (I wear them when I am vacuuming! It's the only time I'm not talking or drinking wine or coffee.) made a tremendous difference. They're spendy, but worth it.
Note how I resisted the tanning decree.
Cash, good choice.
I should have gotten my teeth whitened.
I feel the need to point out that this specific picture seems to be color-adjusted compared to the outdoor pictures (or maybe the outdoor pictures are color-adjusted). Either way, the color on the indoor picture seems to be darker all the way around -- your dress, your skin tone, your hair -- maybe to compensate for the light background.
So, you may feel free to get your teeth lightened, but I don't think that specific picture is quite accurate.
(I say that as an unrepentant coffee-drinker who *really* needs to do something about my beige teeth.)
Yes, Cashmere, I meant to say that the picture of you and your DH is lovely - you both look happy, maybe a little abashed at how happy you are, but just charming.
