Ah yes, the emails with pages upon pages of email addresses. At least it was for something legit enough and not promises of $ from Microsoft. @@
AmyLiz! As a summer thing and being closer to you than usual I purchased
Room Service
before I headed north. Now this is not at all my usual genre, but the last time I tried this type of fiction was probably over 30 years ago, so I am keeping an open mind. I am looking forward to thinking of you as I get to know your characters. One sister and my niece love romance, my other sister reads gory serial murder stuff, the rest of us a bit of variety. From the lovely reviews I read it promises to be a pleasant diversion and again with the warm feelings when I think of where the words originated. So be pleased to know you have led me astray and be prepared to autograph it for me when I see you!
Nora - I would call her just to make sure. I hope she comes through.
Porr Connie and her teethers.
Tell your MiL to take that guy's email address out of her address book, stat, Aimee.
My sister got some of the professional photo proofs from her wedding. Note how I resisted the tanning decree. Best picture of me and DH eva! I should have gotten my teeth whitened.
So be pleased to know you have led me astray and be prepared to autograph it for me when I see you!
::blushes::
My Mother and Aunts. They think its just GREAT to send a prayer for the soldiers or dubious paranoid medical information
My mom and dad are the same way. Email is still new enough they think forwarding a joke is totally cool. Drives. Me. Nuts.
Aims, just be grateful your boss is a nice guy. I think MiL stepped over the line, yeah, but in her head she was probably just being friendly.
Cash, you look beautimous!! So does Lori. And DH is just as cute as can be!
Aims, are you sure that the rest were just friends of hers? I couldn't expand the list (it's obviously a list she set up, so the To: field just shows Mom's e-mail addy). I tried calling her to give her either a stern warning or a taste of unholy hell (depending on her reaction), but she wasn't home.
Vortex, backflung. Also, you are made of awesome. (not news)
Aims, are you sure that the rest were just friends of hers?
To be fair, no. Not entirely sure.
t is abashed at making an ass out of me and umption
Still irritated though.
See, the thing is, I can't blame this one on "Oh, mom's just senile and completely unaccustomed to this newfangled modern gimmickry". She knows enough of what she's doing that I would find it difficult to believe this was an "accident".
No, knowing my Mom, she equates having Aimee work for the man as being the same thing as her, my mother, having access to the man. Which just ain't so, and I shall reinforce that with her in the strongest possible terms.
Cashmere, those pictures are gorgeous, and the one of you and DH is awesome. I'd buy that and frame it.
