Fred: The size and depth of the wound indicate a female vampire. Harmony: Or gay! Fred: Um…it doesn't really work like that.

'Harm's Way'

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Compassionately intolerant

serial...

God help me, I'm watching Beauty and the Beast and having a massive, comforting 80s flashback. I remember it being the most romantic thing ever...and, except for the shoulder pads and the...okay, kittylove...I'm relishing it.

eta: I didn't remember Vincent's resemblance to Dee Snyder...but hey, still romantic.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

If she sucks like a hoover you might have to seek legal council.

Depends on the part of Canada I think.

Shit, her name is Alberta; she lives in Vancouver....

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh Beej, BatB may have been my very first fandom. Vincent's voice always gave me shivers--the good kind.

sj, much ~ma to your friends and their little newborn.

Now tagless for your comfort.

sj, your friend and her baby are in my thought. So scary.

I need to renew my library books online. They might be overdue.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I have good news!

Talked to L earlier, and she sounds much better. Like she's able to step outside of it and get some perspective. She also talked to the lawyer yesterday, and while it looks to be around $2,000, it's doable and her grandparents will help her. She also found a therapist with experience in family violence.

It was nice having a conversation with her where she didn't break down even once.

Also some friends of ours from back home who live here now just had a baby!! His name is Aiden

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Oh, sj, how scary for your friend! I'm glad the baby is doing well, and hope the mom feels less scared soon.

Thanks for all the health wishes. Still waiting to hear more news, although I'm not sure I will until late tomorrow or maybe even Friday. I don't know how fast hospitals process biopsy stuff.

ND, I hate invoicing too. Hoping you get it finished without too much argh.

Oh, and Daisy Jane I am so glad to read your last message. That's fantastic! (Or as fantastic as a sucky sitch can be)

Kristin, hope you had safe travels and are comfortably ensconced now.

I seem to have skipped too much of the convo re sleeveless sweaters and whatnot. Am glad today is over, as I feel a wee bit drained. Only 2 days left until weekend!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

d, much ~ma for your dad.

sj, good health to your friend and her little one.

I hate turtlenecks, and sleeveless sweaters are only useful under jackets.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Grump.

Way too early to be here. Had to take hub to airport at fuckit o'clock in the morning. Bah.

Mostly lurking...

Oof. Migraine still here. Mean migraine!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Beej said, in regard to virtual assistants, "One can make a fine living making people very happy" but neglected to add "and it's legal!" ... which many occupations making people happy are not. yeah - THAT one.

sj, best wishes for your friend. And d, here's hoping your father's diagnosis is not as bad as you fear.
