Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, JZ. She really is. She said she feels helpless, and I have no idea what to do to help other than to ask everyone I know for prayers and -ma.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I am attempting to stay away from the info on the interbunny, although I did a mild peek this morning.

Stay away, d. Once you know something, Google is your best friend, but without a diagnosis, you'll be worrying about every disease known to man. I did, anyway. I certainly hope it's not cancer, but many cancers are very treatable.

I hate dealing with invoicing.

Sing it, brother. In my case, I don't need minions. I need someone with a whip saying, "You vill do invoices and filing." And I don't mean that in a good way.

Our wings are not tired

I like the end result of invoicing, the nice checks that arrive in the mail, it's just a drag putting all of that stuff together and actually getting it sent out. Thankfully I can now send almost all of my projects nice .pdf versions of invoices.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Are there really "virtual assistants" who do invoicing and such for different businesses? Because I have a friend who would be awesome at that.

Herding cats for fun

I actually sort of enjoy invoicing and filing. It's a finite project with a concrete end in sight. And the getting paid for participating part is kinda sweet.

Ginger! You WILL do your invoicing. And your filing. Or you won't be getting any packages having to do with your collection. Was that stern enough? I could maybe growl a little more.

Eeep, much ~ma to your friend, sj. 22 weeks is scary early.

Compassionately intolerant

There is a HUGE industry for virtual assistants...with certifying bodies (not necessary at all) and everything! It's a great gig for well-organized people who want to shift out of the work a day world.

One can make a fine living making people very happy.

Have your friend do a google search on the International Virtual Assistant Association. The one I worked with lives in Canada!
