Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Kia Ora Kitty

Hello Kitty is now attempting to take over literally ALL cultures as can be seen in this Hello Kitty Maori creation. I adore it and want one!

From Wikipedia:

Kia ora is a Māori language greeting which has entered New Zealand English. It means literally "be well/healthy" and may also be regarded in a more formal sense as a traditional greeting of "Good health." It is used for both "Hello" and "goodbye" and as a general exhortation or acknowledgement when listening and responding to a public speaker. It is a popular phrase, and has also given its name to a number of businesses, from hotels to a well known concentrated orange soft drink which is available internationally.

If you're really bored today, take a look at the pictures of my brother and SIL's shower: [link]

And, since I killed the board, one more picture. This is a picture of me that I actually like, taken at the top of Cadillac Mountain: [link]

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Beautiful pictures, vw! It looks like the shower was a great success.

The status is NOT quo.

I can't see pictures or anything since I'm using a mere blackberry. Phooey.

I am at the airport. The Evil Airport. American Airlines is experimenting with an odd check-in machine/name-calling baggage check system. I do not like it, Sam I Am. Took me much longer than usual. Anyway, now I'm in Chili's by my gate. I am very happy that they got me a little corner table where I can see everyone and be bothered by no one. My flight doesn't leave until 1:25, so I've got some time to kill. YAY book! (Sidenote: my blackberry is defaulting to ASSCAPS when I write YAY, which amuses me.)

Kristin, give me a call when you're up and about tomorrow, and we can make plans.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Great pictures, vw! I love the captions, too. Ashley has a great smile--almost of Laura Holt quality--and smiles don't get any better than that.

Great pictures, vw!

Thanks, guys!

She really does. Actually, she just has such vivid facial expressions in general. It's fun to capture them.

Good lord--I just had to call this recruiter that I'd applied for a job through, and who hadn't called me back when she said. Not that big a deal, and I'd already spoken with her...but I put it off and put it off, and when I finally called, my heart was thudding like I'd just run a mile. RIDIC! Must get over that if I'm to have phone interviews!

(Edit: the conversation was brief and v. normal, and she basically just said "you're OK with a background check and a drug test, and you'd have references if they need them, right? OK, I'll send it on and be in touch" No reason to panic!)
