Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I was trying to remember where I saw one before! And you even mentioned them!

I. is. dumb.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Jilli, that hat cries out to perch upon your head.

That tricorn is killing me, except that I want an even teenier one. The Vivienne Westwood exhibit had all these wonderful tiny tricorns about the size of a rather large teacup.

See, those we can make, no problem. Find a round-brimmed doll hat of the size you want, cover it in whatever fabric strikes your fancy, and then turn up and secure the brim in a tricorn shape. But for mini tricorns like the one I linked to, those involve making a hat form from scratch with buckram. Which I probably have the skills for, but I'm kinda lazy.

Doesn't it just?

One of my local friends makes mini tricorns and whatnot, mostly for her own burlesque routines, but she's started selling them. She's been taunting me for months with tiny thumbnails of a pink satin mini tricorn she's been working on.

I know people who indeed fall under all three descriptions

Well, yeah, but all at the same...

oh, wait. So do I. And yes, all at the same time. Never mind, carry on. It's more that I was reading all three as nouns, not, er, adjectives, or attributive nouns or whatever it is we call that way that "drivers ed" might possibly be correct.

But Emily, my school district is kinda cushy once you get in here. Reasonable kids who actually do their work and parents who are pretty involved.

I did not work overtime. Go me. I came home and the kids and I played a board game. Payday. Why is this considered fun? Paying bills and such...plus no chance for a raise. This sucks. Silly game. CJ won. K-Bug came in second. I lost. Came in last. I suck.

What is even happening?

Today's random shiny-thing coveting post: Pink and black mini tricorn hat!

Want!

My hat -- it has three corners. Three corners has my hat. And had it not three corners, it would not be my hat.

Well, good. Okay, I'll give it a shot. I'm just getting a little annoyed at all these schools and districts with the very different, time-consuming application requirements. Like, standardize a little, could you?

ETA: Hey, could I use you as a character reference? Which, by the way, this is the first time I've been asked for?

Are you applying to a specific school or just the district in general?
