Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Except not this week since I'm writing.

Or maybe you can come to Suzi's on Sunday. Yes.

Yay for kilts!

Today's random shiny-thing coveting post: Pink and black mini tricorn hat!

I've been wanting a mini tricorn since I saw Marie Antoinette. I really need to find the time to sit down and make one. Until I have that time, I'm going to stare longingly at this one. Wanty!

Huh. Suzi's district wants all my transcripts with my application. What is with people? I don't feel you're entitled to know what grade I got for Dance Improv when I was 16 until you've made some gesture of intent to hire me!

ETA: They also want a "Letter of Intent." "I intend to get myself a job. I then intend to teach some math. What do YOU intend to do, o school district?"

"Goth SCA Pirate"?

"Goth SCA Pirate"?

I know people who indeed fall under all three descriptions, so it's not as much of a stretch as you might think.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

That tricorn is killing me, except that I want an even teenier one. The Vivienne Westwood exhibit had all these wonderful tiny tricorns about the size of a rather large teacup.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I was trying to remember where I saw one before! And you even mentioned them!

I. is. dumb.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Jilli, that hat cries out to perch upon your head.

See, those we can make, no problem. Find a round-brimmed doll hat of the size you want, cover it in whatever fabric strikes your fancy, and then turn up and secure the brim in a tricorn shape. But for mini tricorns like the one I linked to, those involve making a hat form from scratch with buckram. Which I probably have the skills for, but I'm kinda lazy.

Doesn't it just?

One of my local friends makes mini tricorns and whatnot, mostly for her own burlesque routines, but she's started selling them. She's been taunting me for months with tiny thumbnails of a pink satin mini tricorn she's been working on.
