it's funny, after the crazy blazing heat we were warned about over the weekend for this week, it's actually been... kind of comparitively chilly. It's 72 degrees here right now. Humid as all get out, but not hot at all.
I suspect it will finally get to us tomorrow, but they keep saying that will be the last day of it, so I feel like we got off lucky.
Just don't go west. Worcester is like almost 20 degrees hotter than Boston right now (according to NWS).
Happy birthday, Sox!
~ma to Tom, his mom, and Nora.
I just got back from walking to and from the building down the hill from my office, because I had decided that my craving for a black bean mini-tostada was stronger than my aversion to the Orb. I don't think I'm going to make that same decision tomorrow at lunchtime. And oh my, am I not looking forward to the bus ride home for the next couple of days.
Lookit! juliana's so talented she can bartend across the interwebs!
Shit I didn't say:
Jesus, woman, must you scream when talking on the phone? I'm 5 offices down with the door closed and I still hear your loud mouth. SHUT IT!
I'm in RI right now. It's 85 here, which is not as hot as they were warning, but I am a heat whimp.
Shit I didn't say:
Isn't there anyone else in this office who can do your work for you but me?
Things I didn't say (to my boss):
Yes, that was a good idea, but I don't think it was mine.
YUM: booze, tostatas and birthday cake (okay, I may be imagining cake because of all the birthday wishes for Sox, but still).
This daydreaming brought to you by my benefits office, who can't figure out my dental coverage and has put me on hold.
Happy Birthday, Sox!
Damn, I brushed the cats a little and didn't wash my hands. Now my hands are itching like the bejesus. Time to see if I have any hydrocortisone cream lying around.
