Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Okay, that was lovely because it is very pretty but warm day. I think thirty minutes is about the max to stay out. Especially given how pale my legs are - ghostly.

Now a cool shower and then ... it's Saturday, maybe a nap.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I made the 1.5 hour round trip to get my hair cut. I also got up at 8 in order to run pre-cut, as I knew the Embarcadero would be a madhouse in the afternoon. If downtown is any indication, I was right.

Got home, had a huge lunch of cod and tater tots, napped, and now I'm getting ready for work. Whee.

Now tagless for your comfort.

We're back from my nephew's wedding. It's a four hour drive and we just stayed the night before, went to the ceremony and hit the road right after the reception due to toddler issues. That's a long trip. The bride was gorgeous and it was a sweet event.

DH is running in a five mile race tomorrow morning. The kids and I are going to SLEEP and PLAY for the rest of the weekend.

Trudy, that carry bag is ADORABLE. I hope Dallas enjoys it.

sj, I hope you feel better! Post vacation sickness sucks.

SA, breathe deep and count to 10.

Thanks, Cashmere. I'm feeling better today. My stomach was upset from too much good food all week.

Thrive to spite them

I've been sitting around in a daze most of the day. I got no sleep and I feel icky and sleep deprived but not tired enough to fall asleep.

Also there is some weird insect in my shower. I noticed some black stuff in the corner on the ledge of the tub, and then saw tiny insects running out from under the tile. The black stuff is coming from that.

I couldn't have termites behind the tile could I? The termite guy came and checked. He thumped around and declared this place termite free.

Mom and I went to Sicko yesterday...will not try to ride in rental car again as it turned to American Gladiators though. But we loved "Sicko" tons. Today I've watched videos and worked on my High Hat article. We have *got* to do something about my brother A. popping in on us. I'm enjoying him being out of town *way* too much!Fuckers who stole my mom's pickup: You better hope I never find out who you are...you have made a tough life tougher for someone with an imagination and time on her hands.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Back from Maine and a lovely time was had with Lee! I am falling more and more in love with Maine every time we go up there. vw, I will need to ask you about the hotel you stayed in, because I think Tom and I may need to bum around Portland for a weekend, because there's lots of beer that needs to be drunk there. Also, um, beautiful? Um.

Report of activity since Thursday: driving. Eating. Sleeping. Napping (which is different from sleeping). Drinking beer. Reading. Yays! And we still have a day to hang out at home.

Just got back from seeing Sicko. After I have a good cry, I'm going to plot marrying my own personal version of Alan Davies and moving to England. Anyone got any eligible cousins/friends/acquaintances?

Nora, it sounds like your trip toMaine was similar to our trip to the beach. I'm glad you had a good time.

One more box unpacked tonight. It's not much, but at least it's progress.

Beej, I'm hip. Although my mother wants me to date the hottie Cuban diagnostician.
