Congrats, Deena!
Congrats, Brenda!
Hope you feel better soon, beth.
Yep, that's all I've got.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Congrats, Deena!

Congratulations, Deena! I am ashamed to say I never knew about Endicott Studio but now I am traipsing around their site.
My mom sent me an email entitled 'whine, whine' . she has vertigo from an middle ear virus. she has to take drugs that make her a zombie. So I whined back at her - about this cold that I seem to have - even though I have been very good at trying to stay healthy. We might have a whining contest - except my mom's last email was a little difficult to understand ( my casual writing was inherited from my mom - we both leave out words and word things strangely when we aren't/can't pay attention to our typing)
I did the cruise ship thing for a while - got in a comfy lounge chair , wrapped a blanket over me ( it is breezy ) and dozed and read. The cat crawled under my legs and hid under the blanket. Just as I finished my book, and was wondering if I could move. DH came back home. He brought in the mail . a sample copy of Imbibe Magazine came in the mail. ( Ibibemagazine.com) a very buffista magazine. talked about , cocktails, wine , coffee, obscure ingredients, some yummy looking non-alcoholic drinks, and beer and food pairings. no fernet. but I want to make tea infused vodka and gin . an drum, even though they didn't mention it.
I don't have time to look at Endicott studio now, but I will later- it looks very interesting. ( we are off to a party. I'm not sure it is the best idea, but the guy that invited us is very quiet and shy - and we have no way of calling him to say I'm sick. )
My cousin Penny was a student at Gallaudet during the deaf president protests. I wish we had been a close family because her parents kinda didn't understand that kind of thing.
We are celebrating. Endicott Studio has noticed the press and put us up on the sidebar of their blog.
Deena, that is awesome! Oh, I'm so excited for you!
Arrange with ND and meet me in the Halo-arena sometime this weekend.
While this sounds very tempting, I need a night off. I have a 9 AM flight back to Orlando and I still need to re-pack and get my stuff together. I'm so jet-lagged I can't see straight.
Congratulations, Deena! That's great news, and your celebration dinner sounds yummy.
We're at the beach. Mom made clam chowder and sausage and peppers for dinner. It's nice and breezy.
Yay, Deena! That's fabulous!
I have a new, shorter hair cut. The girl cut it completely with the razor. I loves it. I also have a lovely (temporary) tattoo on my arm, and I loves it. Mom, of course, is mortified...especially since I'm planning on wearing sleeveless to church tomorrow, and everyone will see the yellow fairy. Dad says, "Oh, who cares. They already think we're weird."
OH! And I got my birthday present today! And, guess what?! I LOVES it! It's so pretty! [link]
Um...I think that's all the news from here. It's been a very busy, lovely day. It's gorgeous right now in New England!
Thanks guys! I should have known a good portion of you would know who I meant.
Dinner was yummy, but while I was cooking it Aidan smashed his truck into my foot and may have re-broken my toe. Such a darling boy.
Beth, the whole website is amazing. They post some wonderful, thought-provoking stuff on the blog, and the 'zine is online and free, with great art and wonderful stories.
(edit: Leaving words out does not the good communication make.)
