Arrange with ND and meet me in the Halo-arena sometime this weekend.
While this sounds very tempting, I need a night off. I have a 9 AM flight back to Orlando and I still need to re-pack and get my stuff together. I'm so jet-lagged I can't see straight.
Congratulations, Deena! That's great news, and your celebration dinner sounds yummy.
We're at the beach. Mom made clam chowder and sausage and peppers for dinner. It's nice and breezy.
Yay, Deena! That's fabulous!
I have a new, shorter hair cut. The girl cut it completely with the razor. I loves it. I also have a lovely (temporary) tattoo on my arm, and I loves it. Mom, of course, is mortified...especially since I'm planning on wearing sleeveless to church tomorrow, and everyone will see the yellow fairy. Dad says, "Oh, who cares. They already think we're weird."
OH! And I got my birthday present today! And, guess what?! I LOVES it! It's so pretty! [link]
Um...I think that's all the news from here. It's been a very busy, lovely day. It's gorgeous right now in New England!
Thanks guys! I should have known a good portion of you would know who I meant.
Dinner was yummy, but while I was cooking it Aidan smashed his truck into my foot and may have re-broken my toe. Such a darling boy.
Beth, the whole website is amazing. They post some wonderful, thought-provoking stuff on the blog, and the 'zine is online and free, with great art and wonderful stories.
(edit: Leaving words out does not the good communication make.)
I just ordered 216 unlubricated condoms, 400 AA Batteries, and 90 yards of 1" transpore medical tape from Amazon.
This is for work.
Sometimes my job is just a little surreal.
Anyone else wishing that order had to be done by phone instead of on line?
*So* much more with the sense with context.
Ooops. Sorry.
It's interesting having a deaf instructor for the sign language class. It's an intensive class -- 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, for two weeks -- and it's weird to be spending that much time with a person and not have the means to communicate much to him beyond basic biographical information, like my name and where I'm from and what I study. (We've also spend a good while learning how to give directions in sign, which is sort of fun: none of this "Go to the end of the hallway and turn right" stuff -- just make the sign for "hallway," point way far out in the distance while squinting, and point to the right.)

In grad school I always used to send a freshman to get orders like this. In person. At Walgreens. On a school Purchase Order.

Kissinger was right. Power is sexy.
