I have a wedding to attend at 2 (my first ever girlfriend is getting married. Weird.), and have to buy a gift first
Whoah, Gris, I'll bet that is weird!!
I, too, had crazy dreams last night--that these people came to pick me up, and we drove off to a house, and then they disappeared, and then tehre was a BEAR, so I called 911, but then the bear ran off...very odd.
I am supposed to be doing a ton of stuff today, but I just want a nap. I tried to be responsible and go to bed at a decent hour last night, but I slept like crap!
Also, ND is a very good teacher.

Wow, thanks.
I'm feeling very, very proud of myself today.
As you should. It makes me unbelievably happy that you've got a career rolling that makes you happy now.
Thanks to chattering here with meara last night, I realized, hey, I can board both the cats when I go to Seattle next week.
And then? Puppycat will be vaccinated finally (which makes sense with Kittenish coming and going now) and I can pay someone else to trim her talons.
Plus I won't have to worry about her going crazier alone with fireworks going off.

We've finished watching POTC2 from last night, and I should be packing for the beach now. We're headed down there for about a week. I can't wait!
Lovely day in New England! We went to the farmers market and bought a metric assload of strawberries. Will be making strawberry shortcake tonight!
This weekend we have no plans. Fantastic! I do need to clean the bathroom though.
Oooh. Farmers market and strawberry shortcake both sound very nice.
I noticed something yesterday. Many crosswalk signs in DC have a display that counts down how many seconds it will be until the "WALK" changes to "DONT WALK." It seems like the city is slowly adding the displays to all the crosswalk signs. The several crosswalks adjacent to the Gallaudet campus do not have the countdown displays. They do, however, have a feature that I've noticed on relatively few other crosswalk signs in the city: a high-pitched beeping noise when it's safe to walk. Huh?
Atlanta had a lot of those - I think it was a beep in one direction and a chirping noise (like birds) in the other. But there was a facility of some sort for the
blind
in that area. Can't see how it would be all that helpful at Gallaudet.
Mmmmmm stawberries.
Sounds like some exciting possibilities there, ND. I know you have worked hard for this success. Much ~ma
Yay Brenda!! Home ownership. Scary exciting!

Our little town added that chirping noise. I just heard it last night. It's to help blind pedestrians. There's no blind facility down town, but I still think it's kind of neat.
