Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Happy birthday, JZ!
New job still overwhelms. I've been lurkin' and skippin'! But had a lovely, relaxing long weekend visiting friends in Brooklyn. Plus got to see a Daily Show taping. And walked a ton and ate a ton of great food. Wish I had another long weekend vacation planned for this weekend!
Anyway, 'ma to thems that need it in whatever way!
Happy Birthday JZ! May you have a fabulous year filled with all the good things you so richly deserve.
runs away from the computer to continue celebrating Summer Vacation and the tons of apricots falling off my very own tree
Happy Birthday, JZ!
I'm so sorry that your day is being marred by this terrible stress. I'm thinking of you and your home and Hec & Emmett and EM today.
Suzi, I'm sorry about annoying!coworker.
Happy happy birthday, JZ!
Dear Powers That Be, start being VERY KIND to everyone I am fond of and their loved ones. Right now, thankyouverymuch.
If the fire jumps Hwy 89, then it's going to be bad.
Highways tend to make good firebreaks so I hope for the best in a bad situation.
Gah. Lots of ~ma for EM, and for Hec, JZ, Z family, and the poor house.
t first world problem My dot mac mail has apparently been bouncing random emails back for no reason. My poor father in particular said that he's tried to send me close to a dozen messages in the past couple of months, and they keep coming back. The really annoying thing, though, is that I get *some* of his emails, and I seem to get *most* of the rest. I have no way of knowing who else has given up writing to me because they can't take the annoying bounceback anymore. ARGH! t /first world problem
Reports this morning on the radio are that the fire hasn't jumped 89 and doesn't seem likely to. There are 1900 firefighters there and they've fortified 89 very well. It's being constantly guarded, and although two small fires have broken out on the far side of 89 in the past 18-24 hours, the fire chief emphasized that they were (a) incredibly small, and (b) fully extinguished almost instantly.
The fire's now 40+% contained, and they're feeling much more hopeful today than yesterday. Although "more hopeful" for them = "it'll definitely be completely out by the weekend after July 4." And apparently the soot and smoke and debris are going to play havoc with the lake's ecosystem.
{{JZ & Hec}} I hope the day takes a sudden turn to the calmer.
