Things are going very slowly. He's still in the hospital, and they are now thinking there may be a bowel obstruction, which would mean more surgery. He's in a shit-ton of pain, but there's no immediate danger (unless the obstruction thing is a fact and not just a possibility).
Any word on how Bob is doing?

Oh dear, I hope there is no surgery needed, unless it ends up getting rid of the poor man's pain.
Bob's outlook remains unclear. He is clearly better than yesterday, more breathing on his own, more movement. But not what I would describe as awake either. Things do indeed go slowly. DH will go to play pool without him tonight and face all the questions from all the league people. I think I might be heading to NY tomorrow or Friday for the rest of the summer. Brendon will help me drive there then fly back. There is nothing I can do here. When there is I can come back.
