Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I apparently missed the 80s. I remember MTV starting, and watching it. But I don't remember much of the music. There may be brain cell damage to blame here.

Because books.

I apparently missed the 80s.

You didn't miss much, babe.

::hugs Laura because she doesn't do that often enough, and she knows Laura is stressed and worried::

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Woo! Deena, you are, as always, my Cleveland Contact for Research Perfection!

(Seriously: I chose Cleveland for this section of the story I'm working on because you made me feel like I knew the place last time I begged for Cleveland info.)

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I love The Fixx one because it has the extreme emphasis on the pretty-boy lead singer (who just happens to also be a tortured painter) I think the only time we see the rest of the band they are outside a window. We've got disembodied hands coming out of the paint and the canvas. There's the wind-blown lady in red. There's the cocktail party of interesting people. It's a cliche-rama.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

How can any '80s video be iconic if it doesn't have monkeys and little people in it? [link]

Our wings are not tired.

Thanks for the hugs, AmyLiz. It's looking likely that I will be headed in your direction before long. It would be nice to collect some of those in person.

Right now I am heading outside to sip a glass of wine with a GF. Sad enough to write a bit in LJ. I think most of you are friends. {{my friends}}

I don't want to be a downer and such. It is just hard to keep positive. Ugh, life she is hard.

I'm enjoying the pretty baby pictures and stories of success in school and work. I love reading the happy.
