Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Morning, All!

It's Ackles Overload! I'm so intrigued by this! Whee!

Heh. It's Dean/Joshua.

Probably best to Not Ask.

But Alec & Joshua got on quite well, I'm still intri...literally just this instant interpreted the slash as, well, slash. So. NOT. Asking.

Aw Geez, Cash. That blows. Best of luck with recovery/replacement.

Yay Vortex! Go team homeowning! I'll just be here in the corner cheering and envying all y'all, 'cause I'm never making the team.

And yay ND for getting Nickelodeon all chuffed with you in your first couple of hours!

I have to go with the person way upthread (dcp?) who said Take On Me. How much more iconic could a video get? None. None more iconic. And none more lovely.

::points upward, nodding:: What JZ said.

ION Got through my first "week" of my Summer class. Turned in all assignments, finished all quizzes. Missed one point on one assignment, one point on one quiz that I don't dispute - but I missed two points on another quiz, one point of which was due to a poorly worded question. I'm torn between going through the extra effort to dispute it or let it go. I'm leaning toward let it go, only one person scored higher than me - but it just grates, y'know? Clarity! Is it so much to ask?

Of course, my sigh of relief for finishing first "week" is keeping me from remembering that I need to get cracking on this "week"'s assignments.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Also, wasn't Duran Duran considered to be the first band to become superstars due to MTV video airplay? Of course, many bemoaned this as a triumph of fluff/appearances over the actual music.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Hi Bitches!

Congrats on the home, Vortex -- too bad about the windows! Hopefully you'll get a nice fat discount out of it.

It's approximately five thousand degrees outside, and D is dealing with the heat by sleeping peacefully in his Amby just as long as I stay awake to keep it rocking AT ALL TIMES. (He's also willing to sleep peacefully in my arms, but I can only play Human Rocking Chair for so long before my wrists give out from supporting his head. Plus, babies is HOT. At some point the comforts of Being Held By Mommy are outweighed by the discomforts of Mommy's Sweaty Arms.)

My mother is here this week, and is currently cleaning my kitchen. She's been cleaning my kitchen for two days now. I am terribly embarrassed that I let it get that bad, but not ashamed enough to take over the cleaning.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It was only after I read the account of Berlin's decadent era Voluptuous Panic that I discovered that there really were gangs of "Wild Boys" roaming in Berlin during the 30s, which inspired Wm. Burroughs to write about them.

Of course, anybody can stick "wild" and "boys" together, but I do think Duran Duran were bouncing off those origins.

The original Wild Boys were gangs of boy prostitutes, basically.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Hi, Jess! I love your tagline!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

It's Mommy Jessica! Don't worry about the kitchen. You've been busy making a person.

Hee! Thank you!

Don't worry about the kitchen. You've been busy making a person.

True that. If nothing else, I couldn't really bend down far enough to reach most of the cleaning supplies for the past couple of months anyway.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Jessica! Let your mother take care of the kitchen, and don't feel guilty about it. You'll likely be doing the same for D someday.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Jess, I've been following your pictures on Flickr, and (1) DZ is utterly beautiful, and (b) you look way too well-rested for a new mama. (I don't doubt that you actually *aren't* well-rested, but your appearance suggests otherwise.)

::snerkity snerk::

I knew that some people would get it, and I thought that you would be one of them.

Heh. That's partly b/c just a few days ago, The Boy and I were arguing about the correct way to spell it.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Okay, this is officially the sweetest picture in the history of EVAR.
