I think DH's bicycle has been stolen out of our garage. I noticed yesterday when he returned from taking the kids for a ride that the big door was open (sometimes that happens when we push the automatic door, it will stutter and end up leaving the door open). I closed it from the house and didn't think anything of it. Until I went out today to take the kids for a ride and noticed it was gone. The pin connecting the trailer had been tossed aside.

The only think preventing them from stealing mine was that my seat has been broken for weeks and hasn't been fixed yet.

I'm so pissed off. It's a $700 bike and there's no room in the budget to replace it.

Will your homeowner's policy cover the theft, Cashmere?

Edited because I'm extra doltish, today. I'm so sorry the bike is gone. People can so very suck.

Beverly, clearly the only solution is to move out this way even sooner, as we have a plethora of excellent female Buffistas to balance out your household of smelly boys.

eta: Oh, man, Cash, that sucks. Extra creepy to know that it wasn't stolen from a bike rack outside or something, that someone was in there rummaging around. Ugh.

I have to check our deductible. It may be as high as $500. But I hope not. If it's $250, we can probably swing a used bike. He'd probably upgrade to a road bike instead of the hybrid he had.

I've called him and left him email at work. I hope he calls me back. He's going to be livid.

I'm not sure I agree it's the most iconic, but it's way up there. Plus it inspired a brilliant parody in Family Guy.
