Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired

My brain is screaming that it's only 6:30, yet I've been at work for over an hour. This is not right. At least I have coffee.

Mostly lurking...

You people are funny.

In completely unrelated news, the quilt is up to $202.50! YAY! Unfortunately, this means I can no longer see who the high bidder is. I WANT TO KNOW!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

This is why I love spending time on the west coast--my ordinary circadian rhythm is right, for a change. I'm sorry it's working in reverse for you, ND.

What are they going to do about the windows, Vortex? Were they properly apologetic? Was this a structural change they made without informing you? How crucial a matter is it--a dealbreaker on the house? A matter of a lower price for you?

I'd just like to announce that this morning and this morning only? I hate boys. Everybody in my house (except my mom, and she sort of doesn't count) is male but me. And they're all pissing me off. Mainly by being male, and, you know, breathing. Three generations of them, plus the cat. Gerroff my lawn.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Oof. Even the cat's male? That's rough.

It's Ackles Overload! I'm so intrigued by this! Whee!

Heh. It's Dean/Joshua.

Probably best to Not Ask.

Gronk. Need coffee.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I think DH's bicycle has been stolen out of our garage. I noticed yesterday when he returned from taking the kids for a ride that the big door was open (sometimes that happens when we push the automatic door, it will stutter and end up leaving the door open). I closed it from the house and didn't think anything of it. Until I went out today to take the kids for a ride and noticed it was gone. The pin connecting the trailer had been tossed aside.

The only think preventing them from stealing mine was that my seat has been broken for weeks and hasn't been fixed yet.

I'm so pissed off. It's a $700 bike and there's no room in the budget to replace it.

What is even happening?

Will your homeowner's policy cover the theft, Cashmere?

Edited because I'm extra doltish, today. I'm so sorry the bike is gone. People can so very suck.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Beverly, clearly the only solution is to move out this way even sooner, as we have a plethora of excellent female Buffistas to balance out your household of smelly boys.

Yay Vortex! Go team homeowning! I'll just be here in the corner cheering and envying all y'all, 'cause I'm never making the team.

And yay ND for getting Nickelodeon all chuffed with you in your first couple of hours!

I have to go with the person way upthread (dcp?) who said Take On Me. How much more iconic could a video get? None. None more iconic. And none more lovely.

eta: Oh, man, Cash, that sucks. Extra creepy to know that it wasn't stolen from a bike rack outside or something, that someone was in there rummaging around. Ugh.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I have to check our deductible. It may be as high as $500. But I hope not. If it's $250, we can probably swing a used bike. He'd probably upgrade to a road bike instead of the hybrid he had.

I've called him and left him email at work. I hope he calls me back. He's going to be livid.
