Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Because books.

And overalls with no shirts underneath!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

And blond curls breaking free of their Rosie-the-Riveter-kerchief bonds!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Favorite '80s video? "Our House" by Madness. Bless.

Though I could probably make a case for a bunch of the hair bands.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Nothing beats Total Eclipse of the Heart for 80's video.

Two words: Dancing. Ninjas.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I remember loving Duran Duran videos in the 80s, though I don't know if they'd hold up now.

Specifically, my favorite was "Save a Prayer," followed by "New Moon on Monday," "Union of the Snake," "Girls on Film," and "The Reflex."

Ooooh! I know what 80s video would probably still hold up today! The long form (~20 min, IIRC) video of Bowie's "Blue Jean"!

t edit OMG. juliana's post made me realize that I could see Duran Duran videos on YouTube!

There goes the rest of MY evening....

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Though I could probably make a case for a bunch of the hair bands.

I wil happily help you make that case.

"I've got a gun! I've got a mother-flippin' gun!" - Moss, The IT Crowd

Really, I found the long version of Blue Jean to be astonishingly taxing. Just boring until the damn song finally kicked in.

Juliana, Suggs has a radio program in the UK now. 2pm til 4pm on Virgin Radio.

Well, I was *12* at the time. I thought it was all cutting-edge cool.

Someone's never seen the video for "The Chauffeur"

Because books.

Didn't MTV take the video for "Girls on Film" out of rotation for a while because it was too racy or something?
