OK, here's another theory: This is his way of telling her, "With me gone, things won't be sunny side up anymore! Because you won't be able to fry eggs anymore without the spatula! I mean, I suppose you could, but then how would you get the eggs out of the pan!?!"
My non-fun theory is that he thinks she'll really miss him when she can't fix a simple thing like the drawer pulls, and then she'll realize how much she needs him and how much he actually did do around the house. In reality, it's not that she couldn't fix the drawer pulls, but what with doing the laundry, cooking, cleaning and looking after the kids, she figured that could be his job.
Remodeling the house was what finally destroyed my parent's marriage. It's extremely stressful.
Yes it is. I was only projecting a little. We put in a new kitchen when I was nine months pregnant with my youngest child. My oldest had just turned 4. My middle child was 16/17 months.
My mom has been remodeling her and step-dad's house since they were first married. That's 11 years of remodeling. Step-dad has a very relaxed attitude toward it, and he's not really expected to do a whole lot.
Happy Belated Birthday, Teppy!
I survived my sister's wedding. The outside ceremony had to be moved into a tiny chapel due to light rain, but it went off without any other hitches. The reception for 260 people went on for about seven hours.
I rocked my speech and got lots of compliments, in spite of the fact that I looked like I was smuggling watermelons in my dress.
My sister was a gorgeous bride and the groom and his son were the cutest, ever.
Lori looks so beautiful. I'm glad the wedding went well. I don't think those are watermelons though, Cashmere. I think they're breasts!
Gak, Cindy - perhaps you should also have been going back to school, and Scott transfering to another job at the same time.
Robert made it back safe and sound, only a little delayed. And he still had his luggage. He is desperately glad to be here. Mallory may be starting to expect that every weekend when he wakes up, there will be a surprising person there. Which is good training for the college years.
Once again, Cash, we must all marvel and delight at your fabulous eyes and smile.
And, yeah, I'm also voting breasts, not watermelons. I mean, they might conceivably be cantaloupes, but no way are they watermelons.
That's my favorite of the pictures too.
Thanks, guys. Fortunately, I felt pretty with my make up and mani and pedi and had a glorious time. My BIDs didn't emerge until I was uploading the few pictures we managed to take. I'm looking forward to the professional photography because the girl who took the pictures is really good.
Such a good picture of you and Christopher, Cash.
