I don't care if it is an orgy of death, there's still such a thing as a napkin.

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Good morning, all. I finally heard back from Mom. Glen is in huge amounts of pain, but is in no immediate danger, although infection is still a worry. Apparently, his intenstines have shut down. I don't know how on earth this translates into "no immediate danger," but she's the person with the nursing degree and the ability to make grown doctors cry. Anyhow, the pain has been bad enough that he cannot sleep. At all.

Mostly lurking...

Emily, YAY!

Anne, poor Glen. Although, I'm glad there is no immediate danger.

So sleepy. I got a phone call at 6:40 a.m. What's that all about??? The guy was like, "Oh, did I wake you?" "Um...[pause]...yes."

What is even happening?

Oh Anne, I'm so sorry.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Poor Glen.

I tried to work in the yard yesterday, but was driven inside by 95-degree, code-red smog index, high-uv index weather. I hate summer.

Because books.

Anne, no morphine or other painkillers? Or are they not working? The poor man.

It's Sunday and I don't have to work again until Tuesday. I am muy relaxed. Like, considering not getting out of bed all day relaxed.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I only garden for about an hour and a half yesterday-now, I am trying to do this every day. and i just recently bumped things up from under an hour a day. I am suffering from constant low level soreness. So my sympathies to those who garden many hours.

rest ma ~~ to glen.

We were thinking of Pride, but Matt is still sleeping, so I guess no.

I'm not sure what is up with the painkillers, and whether he can't have them, or they simply aren't working. I do know they're going to try something that might reduce the pressure in his abdomen.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I hope that Glen gets some relief today, Anne. And continues to stay out of danger.

It's raining. Rather emphatically. Please return meara.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I hope the obstruction dissolves/resolves on its own.

Debet, I hope you got the call and it was good news.

It is hot here, and very sunny and I have a ton of work to do today, which is why I'm procrastinating.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am actually at work today, trying to compose an email to all the managers about belt-tightening the company is doing for the summer. It is hard to be informative without sending folks into a panic mode. Feh.
